Medical and Dental
Medical check-ups and treatments will be conducted as often as recommended by the Physician. Love & Unity Adult Care ensures complete dental services to all residents. Unless otherwise ordered by a dentist, individuals will receive routine check-ups/treatments at least every 6 months. Other dental procedures are as recommended by the dentist.
Transportation
Love & Unity Adult Care is responsible for providing transportation for all individuals to meet scheduled medical, dental and emergency appointments. Love & Unity Adult Care will also provide transportation to and from recreational activities.
Activities of Daily Living
DSP's at Love & Unity Adult Care are well trained in providing "Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) to the individuals we serve. One or more of the following activities provided by our DSP's to meet the needs of the individuals include: 1. Assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing and other personal hygiene. 2. Assistance with taking medication. 3. Central storing and/or distribution of medication. 4. Arrangement of and assistance with medical and dental care. 5. Maintenance of house rules for the protection of clients. 6. Supervision of client schedules and activities. 7. Maintenance and/or supervision of client cash resources and property. 8. Monitoring and intake or special diets.
